Mass Effect 2 INCOMING

Mass Effect is a game that you may play even if you aren’t a gamer. If you are a lover of generic Science-Fiction, this is the ultimate game for you. This game will consume you as BioWare takes you in the epic story of Commander Shepard.

Mass Relays, Faster Than Light travel, Good and Bad, and much more are somethings to consider when you think about getting it. In actuality, why are you even THINKING about it? JUST GET IT.

Mass Effect is an RPG-FPS, which is built upon story and combat is not the bulk of the story. The soundtrack of this game is the best game music you may encounter for years to come. The music is a fundamental part for any game and Mass Effect nails it.

Now that Mass Effect 2 is less than 2 weeks away, it is time that we pay tribute to Mass Effect 1 which is now sold at $20. I can’t wait for it! EEEK! :]!!

“I am Sovereign. I am the Vanguard of your destruction. We simply are. Genetic Life is nothing but a mutation. We are eternal. We are the end of Everything. We.. are.. Legion.”

I miss the music and story. I will be playing Mass Effect again and giving updates as I play.

What the.. Games and Studies

When people say games and studying don’t mix, they are right. Though sometimes it makes you wonder, does play induce work? I admit that I probably play too many games, and I also admit sometimes they over-prioritize my work. I’m not trying to sound smart or act smart, because I’m not. In the real world, I am nothing compared to the rest of the world.

Sure I may know a lot about computers, but am I at an IT level? I still need to study for that, and get my credentials, something I still haven’t done. The entry level IT certification is known as the A+ certification and it deals with troubleshooting WindowsNT based computers. (Note that means no linux or darwin) I have also yet to complete certification for HTML and PHP/MySQL, because they are too expensive, around $75 a test. [w3schools]

My school, with no doubt, treats those who fail more than the ones who are passing. I’m not here to pass judgement or anything, but I do feel that my education is limited when it comes to computers. I know that that stuff is usually college leveled work, but why not have a head start? How come mathematics has head starts and such? I request that schools offer more classes.

Having fun is the ultimate past time and playing games, for me, has proven to be quite the thrill. Not many people seem to agree that gaming is great, and sometimes I wonder why they are bored all the time. I do agree that playing games does increase my nerd or geek level but I still love them. Steam provides me with hundreds of games at my fingertips, and recently a game has overtaken my mind. Plants vs Zombies is a casual strategy game that puts you on the Plants side of the fight where you set up plants and destroy the incoming zombies.

RuneScape is one game that has pulled me in since the very start of my gaming career. Back then I did not have a great computer and all I could run was RuneScape. This game has consumed me for around 190 days of playtime. That means if I put all my playing on RuneScape in one sitting, I would be playing for almost one half of a year straight. This game is just wonderful, however it has brought the best and worst of me. I would recommend this game to anyone, but I bear a great warning. This game is addicting and will consume you; however, not as much as World of Warcraft.

World of Warcraft, something you might stereotypically assume that I play is something I DO NOT PLAY. I did try it once and I didn’t play past one hour. World of Warcraft felt like me playing RuneScape from the start, plus WoW didn’t have something RuneScape has. The community, the redundant game file, and most of all, accessibility.
